Valiant Gamers' inaugural Game of the Month is Vagrant Story! Released in 2000, Vagrant Story tells the tale of Ashley Riot, a Riskbreaker agent investigating a corrupt politician with occult ties in the kingdom of Valendia. The game's setting takes place in Ivalice, the same world first featured in Final Fantasy Tactics and explored later in Final Fantasy XII. The gameplay is a hybrid of real-time action and tactics-oriented RPG elements. The soundtrack, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, complements the themes of subterfuge and looming dread found throughout the game.
