Holiday Hijinks!

What is everyone doing for the holidays, this year? If you live in the US, how was your Thanksgiving? Have you been doing anything to get your holiday spirits up? What have you been cooking/baking?

My Thanksgiving this year was sadly pretty disappointing, and as it's one of my favorite yearly celebrations of FOOD, I will be holding my own Thanksgiving Redux in a weeks or two.

Yesterday, I went to Boothbay Harbor, Maine, to the annual "Gardens Aglow" event. It was my first time going, it was very beautiful and enjoyable.

I had it pretty made this year! I got to spend Thanksgiving Day with my family here at home, then this weekend I drove to Alabama to visit my partner's family for a second Thanksgiving. Naturally, I ate too much. I REGRET NOTHING.

The only downside to such revelry was the amount of cleaning, travel, and prep that went into it. I had the whole week off, and it went by in a flash. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas here at home.
