FDA approved Air Pod as hearing aids

I love when technology is used to actively make someone's life better. I hope this is one of those cases. While the article doesn't mention it, google tells me that hearing aids between $1000 and $8000. A pair of air pod pros run around $250. It feel expensive for headphones, but reasonable for hearing aids. What's your opinion on this?

There is also a push to get other over-the-counter hearing aid options out there. Both of which are a good thing! I will never complain about getting more functionality out of the hardware you own.
