Itch.io briefly taken down due to AI Brand Protection software and Funko

The Itch.io domain was taken down through bogus reports to their registar via an AI software called Brand Shield. The reports came from Funko (of the Funko Pops line) proving once again they have done nothing positive for humanity. I feel like there should be some amount of civil (and potentially criminal) liability in a situation like this. On the face of it, it doesn't look that different from a DDOS - Funko used a computer network to disrupt Itch.io's operations.
