8bitdo to cease shipments from China to the US.

This is just a smidge of things we can expect from ongoing political affairs in the US, but still damning. While we will be able to get things from the US warehouses, people are already starting to see issues with what said warehouses have in stock.

I literally just picked up their NES-themed mechanical keyboard. I was looking at their new mouse, but I noticed pre-orders for it were disabled and this is likely the cause. I think a lot of Americans let themselves get misled about what these tariffs would mean for our supply chain, and they are going to learn the truth the hard way.

If you want or need any electronics, now would be the time to get them. But don't think the ill effects of these tariffs will stop there.

EDIT: I know this video is long, but it is a really comprehensive look at how the tariffs are affecting manufacturers and how ultimately it will cost their customers. I can't recommend it enough.

I'm still awaiting my own order of the SuperStation with a bit of trepidation, to be honest.

People have been eating up emulation consoles lately. They've been getting cheaper, more powerful, and increasingly feature rich. Enter Anbernic, I think it was(?), making their announcement that they'd no longer be shipping from China. THAT was my, "oh boy, here it comes," moment. Sure enough, gaming journalists jumped on it. Hobbyists weren't happy but, it's a niche thing and, despite it being spelled out, there were still some doubting Thomases. Since then, more and more companies have been doing similar, and a lot of gamers and hobbyists are freaking out. Entertainment journalism has picked up on it, and you're starting to see it in mainstream journalism, as well.

Gamers aren't stupid, which is what makes it so surprising, so many of Our People seemingly taken by surprise over this. Needless to say, it's not gonna stop here but, hopefully it opens some eyes to it as it spreads well beyond gaming.

Frustrated by this. I just got a Genki-branded 8Bitdo SN30Pro several months ago. I use their controllers all the time on PC and any time I use the Switch.

I'm also angry that the tariffs are affecting so many handheld emulation systems, like Retroid. I have a Retroid Pocket 2+ and was hoping for the chance to upgrade to a Retroid Flip 2 when it comes out, but there's no way in hell that's happening anytime soon.

I've got the 8Bitdo Keyboard and I love it, but be aware that the nob for turning it on in the top left corner isn't very stable. Mine somehow popped off a week ago without me seeing where it went. It's not fun to turn the damn thing on without the nob.
