Recently a fan wrote to Pitchfork asking about the rumored $80 price tag for BL4. His response was basically it isn't his call and that real fans will figure out how to pay the price.
I've been thinking about this quote for a couple days and I still don't think big companies have figured it out yet. If you're gonna charge me $80 (or $90 if you're nintendo) then you're gonna have to REALLY convince me the game is worth that price. Why pay that price when I can get a handful of indie games and more then likely get more overall enjoyment from them. The two best games I've played this year are ex33 and split fiction and I didn't pay $80 for those games.
i always knew ceos were a bit out of touch with the community, but come on idk if borderlands has thay kind of pull anymore. The movie damn sure didn't do it any favors.
if games hit an average of 80-100$ in the future would you consider things like gamepass or just become a pirate?
