I know many of us early adopters are also players of XIV. How many of you were around for the 1.0 days? And looking forward, what's the hype level for the upcoming Dawntrail expansion?

I was there I don't play her, but I still have my 1.0 character. I'm also very optimistic about Dawntrail!

I wasn’t around back in the day but I know some really cool people that were and I am proud to have them as friends that got me into the game a few years ago! 😉

I played 1.0 and was one of the few that actually liked it! There are still quite a few things about 1.0 that I miss, such as character movement, or certain sound effects. Ultimately, I have un understanding and appreciation around what they've done to attract a wider audience and find sustainability through the game's subscriptions.

I started as a Lalafell but changed to an Au Ra when the race was introduced. I just really like them!
I stuck to the naming conventions listed on the official forums for my character names.
My Lalafell was "Jinketsu Moruketsu" Jinketsu is Japanese for "hero" however Moruketsu I made up on the fly. Together, apparently it stands for "human blood mole hole," haha.
My Au Ra is "Retusjo Goisagi." (Heroine Heron)
I wish there were more armor pieces that exposed your back so I could air out this tattoo more often.

It would be neat if the 1.0 private server software saw more progress. I'd love to be able to better experience what that era was like.

I wish we could pay to merge character progress: I'd get my meteor tatt on my main in a heartbeat, I don't care if it's $50!
