Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an upcoming single player Action RPG game with multiplayer elements for PS4/PS5/Steam and follows the ongoing story of Gran/Djeeta and their comrades they've met along the way, taking place after a major story event in the ongoing mobile gacha game. Currently there is a free demo for Relink on PS4/PS5 you can download and play, and earn some bonuses going into the main game once it releases. Digital preorders will allow early access to play the game, starting on Sunday, January 28th.

Granblue Fantasy, first and foremost, is a mobile gacha game that's only available in Asian mobile stores for phones. There is a plugin you can install for Google Chrome that allows you to play the game, and they do have a full English language option. They have adapted its story into (so far) two seasons of an anime show of the same name. It's not up to par with where Relink takes place, but it's a much easier entry into this story than the gacha game would be.

Relink does not require you to know the story going into it, but catching up on it should help you to already be familiar with characters and whatnot. Easter eggs are always fun to catch!

I've been looking forward to this game since its announcement in 2016! It's gone through some real development hell, but the demo has convinced me that the wait was worth it and we're going to get a pretty solid Action RPG, and that playing challenges online with friends is going to feel really rewarding.

Has anyone else been eyeballing this one?
