Great show tonight! We got to see the plot take a big step forward, which is nice after spending so much time in Bailu. I really like how the plot has this mythical/mystical stuff going on rather than being totally grounded in reality.

Also now that you reached Niaowu, we're going to get to see something I found out about on accident during the Shenmue 2 run, and I'm super hyped about it. I won't spoil it though :3c

Bailu rocked, visually and tonally. The wood-chopping mini-game is a blast, but the ball-toss mini-game for the soccer ball was frustrating.

The plot's gotten more interesting now that we know that Lan Di and Iwao Hazuki trained together before Ryo was born. This adds some interesting drama to the mix.

Iwao trained with Sunming Zhao, Lan Di's (real name Longsun Zhao) father, and Yuanda Zhu (they guy we spent all of Shenmue II looking for) told Ryo Lan Di thinks Iwao killed Sunming, sort of putting Ryo and Lan Di in similar positions.

I love the humor they added to the QTEs overall. Favorite moments: Ryo disappearing down the stairs in Vendor's Alley and the raft with the really judgy cormorant. Also, the little montage at the end.

There were some great tracks to chose from. I am glad they were able to use a lot of tracks that otherwise would have been lost, and I'm sure the composers were glad that the work they did finally saw the light of day as well.
