First post for me. Howdy! This is the first JRPG I played. I think I was 8. To say the soundtrack was formative is an understatement.

Double post to throw down this guy. An old favorite from a game I hardly ever hear mentioned. It was incredible for its time.

The entire soundtrack of this game was awesome. They went so much harder than they had to.

TrojanHorse is a fantastic chiptune composer. His music shows up a lot on my Extra LIfe streams. Here's his take on FZero's Fire Field if it were composed on a PC-98.

I love how PSO did its transitions between combat and idle music. It felt more seamless than how other games do it (looking at you, FFXIV!)

Reminds me of when PSO First launched shortly before Valentine's Day, so it had all the corresponding decor and music for that event. At the time I had no idea that the music was special, and when the holiday passed, the music went back to this track and I was like "WTF, I like the other music more!"

Still do, but this one is pretty good also.
